MEET THE ARTIST:
Denise Lueke is a retired Music Educator who began painting in 2012. Early works are watercolors of realistic style in minute detail. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her work in local and regional exhibitions including the Rocky Mountain WS National Exhibition. Her street musician portrait entitled 'Taos Serenade' received the Patron Purchase Award at the Kansas WS National Exhibition in 2014.
Realistic style with dramatic contrasts and bold colors is typical in her work and oils are now her primary medium of choice.
