MEET THE ARTIST:
Deborah J. Murphy has shown her work in numerous national and regional exhibitions, as well as one/two person shows and invitationals. Her exhibition history includes many noteworthy achievements, including Purchase Awards, Juror's Merit and Honorable Mention Awards. She was awarded the prestigious Mid-American Arts Alliance/National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship Award in Painting and Works on Paper, as well as the Nebraska Arts Council Distinguished Achievement Fellowship Grant. Her work was also selected to be exhibited in the United States Department of State "Art in Embassies Program", first in 2000 at the Ambassador's residence in Tirana, Albania and second in 2019 at the Ambassador's residence in Hanoi, Vietnam. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art. Her work has been featured in Western American Literature (2003); Nebraska Life (2005) and Omaha Home (2019).
