MEET THE ARTIST:
As a self-taught artist, I began to sketch and paint in middle school. Later in life
I had a mentor who guided me and gave me advice that still resonates with me
today.
I enjoy working in oil the most but also enjoy watercolor, charcoal and acrylic. I usually work on several projects at the same time. The crossover allows me to step back and gain a new perspective as well as correct errors.
Painting for me can be a slow process of trial and error. Every painting is a new adventure. I like to experiment with new styles. I like realistic pieces that tend to have a lot of detail.
Painting offers the artist a voice and an expression of who they are and how they interpret life. This unique aspect of art can give the observer an experience they can enjoy forever.
