ARTIST BIO
Shelly Bartek, early on, achieved First Place for the National Scholastic ART Awards, which set the path for earning a Kansas City Art Institute scholarship. Then, as a recognized National illustrator earning prestigious commissions such as the United Nations for its Collective Stamp Series, Paramount Pictures, and the Coors Blue Moon Brewery Artfully Crafted ten-year campaign. Most recently, she’s coming into her fine art expression. She is most Passionate in bringing beauty and contemplation to diverse subjects that sustain the spirit of the prairie as she experiences it. Shelly’s signature medium is combining Oil medium and the use of Gold Leaf Metal, enhancing the reflecting light within or in framing her art. Learning her Gold Leaf Techniques from Vladislav Anderjev, Director Prosopon School, New York. Her works symbolize her innate biographical journey, collected privately and exhibited in galleries across the country.
