Acrylic paint

16” circular canvas

ARTIST BIO:

My name is Abilene Watson, I’m sixteen years old and I attend Lewis Central High School. My art journey started at a young age, although I started taking it more seriously as a passion about two years ago. I started with just quick sketches but I slowly found myself wanting to always paint. My piece is named Keyara, it is currently the third animal portrait in a series of other portraits. I started this series almost three months ago, and I’ve really enjoyed my journey painting all kinds of animals and trying new techniques.

ARTIST ACCOLADES:

My first art competition was the Hawkeye 10 art show in Creston Iowa. I won a blue ribbon for one of my animal portraits. I was also accepted into the Natural Wonders Youth Art Show at the Jocelyn Castle in Omaha.
