TRIO
by Carmel Simmons
24”x30”
ARTIST BIO:
A self-taught artist, Carmel enjoys working in several mediums, with a particular love for oil and watercolor. [ also paint in acrylic and charcoal, often juggling multiple projects in different mediums simultaneously. Primarily a realistic painter, she has recently begun exploring the world of abstract art. For her, painting is a slow, intuitive process of trial and error. Each brushstroke or charcoal line offers an opportunity to learn and grow. A mentor once advised her to "be brave," a guiding principle that continues to inspire her artistic journey. Art, in her view, is both a personal voice and a form of expression. It allows the artist to reveal their inner self while offering the viewer an experience that can resonate long after the moment of viewing.
